Kids & Family health coach

Our top priority as parent's is to make sure our babies are well-nourished and safe. And there's nothing wrong with seeking a little help! As a family health coach, I have extensive experience with picky eaters, children with food allergies, kids with autoimmune issues, and holistic, natural family health.

does your family health need some tlc?

“I know our family needs to eat healthier and be more active, but we’re just SO BUSY. My kids are picky eaters with food allergies and sensitive tummies, making it hard to find healthy meals they’ll actually eat. My spouse and I are overwhelmed by all the restrictions, and food has become more of a frustration than a joy. We’ve gained weight, and the kids spend too much time on screens. We need to clean up our diet, get moving, and spend more quality time together, but I honestly just don’t know where to start.”

Hi, Fellow Parents! I'm Amy.

Certified Health Educator (CHES), Nutrition Coach (NASM), and Functional Hormone Specialist (IC-FHS)

As a mama of 3, I know how hard it can be to juggle your role as a parent, romantic partner, employee, friend, and homemaker (aka maid and private chef). We have dealt with various autoimmune issues; gluten allergy, gluten intolerance, type 1 diabetes, and POTS. We have learned a lot throughout our journey, paving our own way beyond the system that is currently in place.

When I started struggling with chronic illness, my kids were still small and for a few years it was all I could do to keep going, much less cook healthy meals and stay active.

When I finally realized my illness was autoimmune related, I knew I had to clean up our family diet to fight inflammation and incorporate more nutrient-dense foods. I’d gained a lot of weight and lost my self-confidence, but I was determined to turn things around.

<insert info about your child’s autoimmune/allergies here. >

My kids didn’t start eating vegetables right away. It was a lot of trial and error with slow improvements over time. We had to reinvent a lot of our family routines and make a real effort to support each other in our health journey. But it brought us all closer together and I would do it all over again to achieve the vibrant health we have today!

Now, I’m here to share all of my best tips, tricks, and recipes so your family can get healthy, too. Are you ready to make a REAL change?

“I recently had the pleasure of working with Amy and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results! What impressed me most was her ability to tailor her guidance to fit my specific goals and circumstances. She took the time to deeply understand my individual needs, challenges, and lifestyle, ensuring that the plan and guidance she crafted was perfectly suited to me and touched on all aspects of healing—mind, body, and soul.

Throughout our journey together, Amy’s extensive knowledge and expertise were evident in every interaction. She didn’t just offer generic advice; instead, she provided me with valuable insights, practical strategies, and a wealth of resources, including, pages of notes, research articles, recipes, and tips. What I truly appreciated was that Amy didn’t just focus on my own health journey; she also took into account my concern and focus on the well-being of my children, offering guidance on how to make sustainable changes that would benefit the whole family.

Thanks to Amy’s guidance and support, I’ve been able to make meaningful, lasting changes to my lifestyle. Her personalized approach, and wealth of knowledge have empowered me to not only prioritize my own health but also to set a positive example for my children. I wholeheartedly recommend Amy to anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable health coach who goes above and beyond to ensure their clients’ success!”

You May Benefit From a Family Health Coach If:

A Member of Your Family Has a Chronic Health Condition

You Or Your Kids Are Struggling to Maintain a Healthy Weight

You Want to Eat Healthier, More Nutritious Meals

You Want to Be Active and Exercise As A Family More Often

You Need to Limit Screen Time and Deepen Family Bonds

Your Child Has Food Allergies Or Is a Very Picky Eater

How We'll Work toward family health

1.

Establish Health Baseline

Family Health History

I want to understand what makes your family tick! What’s your daily routine? How much time do you have to dedicate to meal prep? Where do you usually eat your meals? What are your family’s biggest “vices” —sugar, processed foods, or simply not eating enough protein and veggies?

I’ll gather all the info we need to have a solid picture of where you’re at currently. Plus, what you can realistically do within your family’s timeframe. Some parents want to completely overhaul their routine and some want to make smaller, easier changes and build toward their goals slowly.

2.

Determine Realistic Goals

Nutrition + Detox

Next, we will start setting goals! I always encourage my coaching families to try to be realistic and make sure they aren’t setting their family up to fail. Change can take time, and if you go about this correctly your kids may not even notice that they enjoy a wider variety of foods or watch less TV!

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to family health and wellness. How ambitious your goals are is up to you, but I’ll make some suggestions and share what has worked for my own family and those I’ve helped. We’ll also discuss common hiccups you may encounter along your journey.

3.

Learn To Eat Intuitively

Put the Joy Back in Food

For most families, I see challenges around attitudes and beliefs about food. As parents, we want our children to have a healthy, unburdened relationship with food and eating. But what if we ourselves have struggled with disordered eating? Or have eating habits we know aren’t healthy?

To change what’s on our plates, we also have to address what is in our minds. That’s why I will coach your family to eat more intuitively and learn how to identify true hunger vs. other reasons we eat—like boredom, to cope with strong emotions, or as a way to reward ourselves or our kids for good behavior.

4.

Incorporate Lifestyle Shifts

Get Active + Movement

Once your family has changed what you’re eating and how you think about eating, you can also start to explore ways to get active as a family. Do you want to get the kids outside more to enjoy nature? Can you make family memories that revolve around moving your bodies together in a positive way?

This is especially helpful for parents who want to get in shape and shed a few pounds, but can’t seem to find the time. I’ll give you some tried-and-true ways to incorporate movement into your routines so fitness becomes family fun—no screens, sweet treats, or dining out required.
